About JP

JP's love for practical effects began where most others do: movies, TV and comics. Starting at a young age, JP created costumes and props to become the heroes or monsters he saw on screen. 

He broadened his knowledge with classes taught by Tyler Green and graduating from Tom Savini's Special effects school with a degree in the field. From there, JP went on to work in both Toy and Prop shops in CT and New York.

Now, he helps others bring their ideas to life. Working out of his out shop in Connecticut, he works daily with performers, movie makers, cosplayers and more, bringing their imaginations into the real world.
From fairies to outlandish monsters and everything in between. 

In his own work, JP walks the line of our world and fantasy, real wildlife and unhinged creatures. 

To him, they aren’t just masks, they are individuals with a personality, a story, and a purpose. 
By creating custom masks, busts, dioramas, props, and full on costumes, who knows what beast will lurk next....
